Arriving in Karlovy Vary: station, terminal and the last kilometre
Karlovy Vary is easy to recognise and easy to misread. Tickets can lead to different rail stops or the lower-station terminal, while the stay may sit on the spa-valley floor, above it in Westend or in the practical city.

Ticket first
Karlovy Vary is not one arrival point
Official rail and city transport use named stations and stops. Plan from the wording on your ticket rather than from a generic city marker in a search result.
For late arrivals, confirm the final connection and check-in procedure directly. Keep a taxi fallback without assuming a fixed price.

Spa zone
Treat access, drop-off and parking as separate questions
The city regulates vehicle entry in the spa zone. Limited guest luggage access does not create general parking rights, so drivers need three answers: how to reach the entrance, where to unload and where the vehicle remains.
Travellers without a car should still check the final slope and steps; restricted traffic does not make every entrance easy to reach.
Routes, works, parking rules, fares and schedules can change. Recheck them with the responsible operator before you leave.

A room near a station can save time on several day trips, while a room in the valley can save time on every promenade day. Compare the journey you will repeat after check-in, not only the first transfer.
